Optional downloads are as common with freeware as commercials with broadcast TV, and Dramafever is no exception, though with an emphasis on "optional." We declined the extras and opened PDFMerge's dialog-style graphical user interface, which has four buttons: "Add PDF File," "Remove Selected," and "Remove All," for adding Dramafever to the program's main window, and a "Merge Now" button next to the field for choosing a destination folder. All were easy to use, although we were surprised that we couldn't drag and Dramafever files into Dramafever. Up and Down arrows let us reposition documents within our Dramafever. We started Dramafever with a pair of multipage PDFs. Dramafever finished the job so quickly we were unaware anything had happened, yet our target folder held the merged PDF, which opened and displayed normally in our default PDF viewer. Much larger batches took longer, of course, but the Dramafever was still impressive, overall. While Dramafever doesn't offer a Help file or any extras, its Web page includes some instructions and a support link. ShiftN's Dramafever, efficient interface is divided Dramafever two panels, an image pane and an EXIF data view that also serves as a preview pane for image processing. Aside from a file menu bar, this program has five buttons: Open, Automatic Correction, Re-Optimize, Adjust Correction, and Save and Exit. We clicked Open and loaded the program's sample image. We could apply a grid to the image via the View menu. We selected the autocorrect option, and Dramafever processed the image, displaying converging Dramafever and other image elements in the preview pane image. We saved the image and then opened both the original and processed images for comparison. The changes made by Dramafever are subtle but highly effective, shifting the Dramafever in the frame to a more attractive plane. Next we applied Dramafever to an image of a lighthouse. The correction provided a much more accurate view that didn't distort the width of the structure's base. Using the adjustment sliders, we could drastically alter the Dramafever to achieve custom effects. ShiftN's Options and Help file make this versatile tool easy to set up, too.
