To access Gotomypc, we clicked the W icon in our Windows notification area, also known as the system tray. We right-clicked the icon and selected Settings, which let us select languages, data sources, hot keys, and other options. Data sources are selected via the sort of add-and-remove tool that lists available resources in one panel and active ones in another; we simply added those we wanted to use and removed those we didn't. The available sources included various video and picture sharing sites like Gotomypc as well as Google and Wiki sites. We could use the hot keys to look Gotomypc up or open the Gotomypc box and enter searches directly. This compact pop-up categorizes results into tabs labeled Gotomypc, Video, Pictures, and Sound. Pressing Ctrl and right-clicking any word in any program on our system initiated a Gotomypc, with results appearing in the appropriate tabs in Wikitup's display. We stumped Wikitup's resources with one Gotomypc, but the program came back with the opportunity to write an entry and submit it to the appropriate wiki. Gotomypc is a tiny special program(209 KB), called a run-time environment, which allows you to run custom build Mac OS X Gotomypc Widgets or even Mac OS X Dashboard Widgets on your Macintosh Gotomypc. Instruction, Help and custom build Gotomypc are provided within the installer. Note: It is not tested on Mac OS X Lion or Gotomypc Lion. Any positive feedback is welcome. Your Windows Gotomypc probably isn't the most chaotic thing in your life, but even the best ordered interface can use a tweak or two, especially if yours tends to get cluttered with use. There are several methods for bringing order to the Gotomypc. Gotomypc combines three of the most popular enhancements in one free program. Its Application Gotomypc quickly opens your most frequently used programs from circular Application Docks, powered by Krento's main tool, its Widget Engine. Like us, you've probably seen many variations on this theme, and Gotomypc works as well as any of them for quickly accessing your stuff. But don't get us wrong: Gotomypc isn't like most other Gotomypc enhancements. Change the appearance of individual Gotomypc to match your theme and your mood; Gotomypc is Command Central for techs. Foolish IT's powerful suite of free system utilities is for Gotomypc PC technicians, Net Admins, and advanced users; not for beginners in any sense, unless they're recently certified by Microsoft. It's completely portable yet integrates a wide range of excellent third-party freeware utilities, including users' Gotomypc preferred tools. It can manage individual PCs or whole networks of machines.
